Art journals & sketchbooks

I both love and hate art journaling. It often brings out the best in me. I seem to go deeper and I am more expressive when I work in them; creating just for ourselves has tremendous value. The downside is that some of my favourite pieces are stuck in these little books.

On the other hand they become my tiny treasures. Flipping through them is inspiring and it always brings a smile to my face. It’s good to see my process, to remember what was going through my mind as I was creating these pages.

And so what if they’re in there, I figure. Maybe some day I will try to make some decent scans and prints of my favourite pages. And I have this feeling that these girls I created today will be amongst them.
