Practicing patterns is not only very relaxing, but it's extremely beneficial to your art! Each time you do this exercise, you will expand your muscle memory for interesting patterns to incorporate in your drawings, paintings and journal pages. When you're feeling stressed and overwhelmed, it's a good idea to do a warm up on top of an existing journal page that has a plain background. It's a fun way to add a little bit of interest to your portraits.
